Frequently Asked Questions

What is this?

ScaleUpTrading.com developes indicators, trade management tools for the Sierra Chart trading platform. You can buy licences to use these software modules.

What is Sierra Chart?

Sierra Chart is a trading platform. It is one of the fastest and most stable. Sierra Chart has advanced charting and trading functionalities. You can trade at several brokers and multiple markets ranging from Futures, Stocks, Options and Forex. It may use only 200MB of your RAM and a fraction of the CPU even with multiple chart windows and indicators.

Why should I use your tools?

Our tools are focused on simplicity and created with the intention to ease the usage of some traditional technical analysis methods. As well as we develop more complex tools which can assist you by automating some routine tasks.

Are your indicators and tools recommended for everyone?

Yes! Beginers and seasoned traders both can find valuable features in our tools matching their need.

  • help analyzing the chart
  • making decisions more quickly
  • save time and find comfort in your trading

Will your tools trade for me automatically?

No. Our tools can help you in many ways in your own trading but ONLY YOU MAKE THE DECISION where and how you want to enter and exit the market, open and close a position. You should have a proven, profitable strategy! These tools do not provide any trading strategies by themself. They can only automate some specific routine steps of YOUR complete trading process.

You should ALWAYS MONITOR your trades! No exception!

Where can I find my Sierra Chart Account Name?

Please start Sierra Chart. Look for the Help item on the right in the top menu and then the About item on the bottom of the drop down menu. Or simply press Alt+L then A. There you will see the Account Name field in the middle.

How I get the indicators and other tools or strategies?

Sierra Chart has a decent distribution and licence management system for external tools. When you order one of our licences we ask for your account name held with Sierra Chart (this is the login name used when you start Sierra Chart). Within 24 hours (usually much shorter) we activate the modules and examples for you. Then you receive an email about the activation and all the other details. You need then restart Sierra Chart to automatically get access to your tools. After this fresh start you will find all the new tools among the others you already use with Sierra Chart. So all these happen automatically and you can begin to explore the new features shortly.

What if my licence expires?

You will not be able to use the expired tools. Others will remain working. You will get notified in a pop-up window of the Sierra Chart Message Log showing what tools expired and when. You just need to come back to our site and buy more usage times. As soon as we activate the licence again you will get the recent version of the tools and you can continue to use them.

What if I bought lifetime licence and you stop doing business?

As mentioned above all our tools are delivered via the Sierra Chart’s deployment subsystem. As long as the Sierra Charts platform is available to you and your licence is valid you can use the tools. If for any reason we decide to stop doing business we will notify our community in advance and leave enough time to upgrade to the lifetime licences.

What if I have questions?

First, we encourage you to read the manual of the product you bought. You will find the answer for most of the questions faster than typing in a message for us. Really! These manuals are short and to the point, we promise.
